Mr Louis P's Commission - Different angles and paint pot colors
Mr Louis P's Commission - Different angles and paint pot colors
Different angle of Not-Ash. Yeah he has a groovy gilded breastplate.
Walker in the middle of a runner and wolf
Aww, walker zombie just wants to pet wolfy!
But runner zombie is about to sucker punch him!
all color bases side by side
I have lots of blue paints, but these best represent a washed out muted blue
The one on Not Ash's base is 2nd from far right
Again, greens that dont have high color saturation
The one on plague zombie is far left
Browns
The one on fatty zombie is far right

Mr Louis P's Commission - Zombicide Test Paints
CMON's zombicide minis are a harder plastic than Reaper Bones.
So, they do take primer and paint much better (and easier) than Bones.
As with all softer plastics, I did a soapy wash to remove any oils that might be left over from production.
Even with a wash, paints must still be coaxed to stick unto the figure.
Whereas Bones figures might require more coats to cover, CMONs need only a foundation and maybe a few small patches that require a 2nd touch up.
I am happy to report that the paints stick well, and the ink washes work well enough.
Their mouldlines are also much easier to remove.
Still, I cant ever seem to remove all of it.
Here are 6 test paint figures...
Not-Ash hero and a walker zombie
zombie wolf and a runner
fatty zombie and plague zombie

Mr Bill W's Commission - Ral Partha Orcs & some Dungeon Beasties
Bill,
Buddy, before I base them up, here are some pics of your minis.
The Mindflayer has yellow eyes which might not be apparent in the photos.
The smoke monster came out pretty ghostly, hope that jives with you.
Initially, I was skeptical of the light blue Drow elf skin color, but now Im thinking about changing my own personal collection of Drow from purple to this tone.
Also yes, the Orc leader needs his eyepatch painted in, Im on it.
If you want, I can put a simple pattern to the Orc shields.
Perhaps, a color division like a black chevron, or even a simple device like an Eye of not-Sauron, or Hand of not-Saruman.
Or maybe even some random chaotic script and/or tribal markings.
Let me know what you feel.
In the meantime, I will base them up.
Cheers,
Mar
